Simple is..... Wonderful

I had such a great time yesterday in the Craft Room with my friend Bella.  I knew I wanted to do the latest Just Add Ink Challenge but the idea I had just wasn't working - think watery mess.  So I stopped to take a breath and noticed Bella was using this cute little bird but in squares, isn't he cute - he's from the Hostess Level 3 set - Window Dressing.  I knew straight away that I wanted circles!
There are a few firsts for this card - first time I've used Sage Shadow, first time I've used this bird, first time I've used Rustic Rooster (Level 2 Hostess Set - for the background of the base card).
There are also a few olds as well - The pleated ribbon with mini staples, Warm Words , the colour on colour and my total obsession with Kraft!!
Anyway I just love this card - it's so simple but striking.  I just want to keep looking at it (am I strange or what?!).

Here are the colours for the challenge.

  7. Gorgeous card! Lovely work - thank you for your inspiration. Same colour layers (Kraft on Kraft) isn't something I have tried before, but with the rooster words and foam squares it adds depth and looks amazing. I will try it soon!
