Old Stamps with a New Technique!

Pick a petal was one of the first Stampin' Up! stamps sets I ever saw and I still love it now. I bought some aqua painters and realised I didn't have any stamps that were really suitable for water colouring until my friend Liz reminded me about Pick A Petal. So here is a really simple card using my favourite stamp set, with my favourite ribbon, my favourite greeting stamps and one of my favourite colours!!! (Who am I kidding EVERYTHING is my favourite!!!)

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 9…

I had a few minutes last night (which turned into a few hours:) so I thought I'd brave the cold and head to the Craft Room. I started off making this card for Makeesha Byl's Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #9. I had no real plan, just the sketch and all my 'stuff'! I have been giving the embossing powder a workout lately, I love the sublteness and texture of the embossing on the hearts. I loved this challenge, I never use blue either so I really stepped out of the norm! I'll try to upload the rest of my creations over the next few days.

Card Recipe
Stamp Sets: Always
Ink: VersaMark, Basic Grey
Paper: Bella Bleu, Bordering Blue, Ballet Blue, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Large Filigree Brad, Small Clear Rhinestone Brad

Where to start????

I ordered so much stuff in my first order I didn't know where to start when it arrived. So I sat down and these little thank you tags came together using my new Stamp-a-ma-jig, Crop-A-Dile, Jumbo Eyelets and 1" Choc Chip Double Stitched Ribbon.

I still have so much more to play with (and somehow my wish list is still really long)!

Have I told you how much I love the in colours??? Especially with Chocolate Chip and especially Pink Pirouette!! I'm looking forward to many more hours of stamping - FUN, FUN, FUN....

Workshops are So Much Fun!!

I had my first workshops on the weekend and they were SOOOOOOOO much fun!! Some of the ladies had never stamped before, seeing their excitment grow as they started to create was fantastic. This post it note holder was the lucky door prize at one of the workshops (hello Natasha).

I am totally loving the In Colours and Chocolate Chip at the moment so of course I love the Bella Rose papers too.

I'll try to get some more photos up soon but won't guarantee anything until after the Trivia Night (http://www.c5.org.au/TriviaNight.htm).
