I had such a great time yesterday in the Craft Room with my friend Bella. I knew I wanted to do the latest Just Add Ink Challenge but the idea I had just wasn't working - think watery mess. So I stopped to take a breath and noticed Bella was using this cute little bird but in squares, isn't he cute - he's from the Hostess Level 3 set - Window Dressing. I knew straight away that I wanted circles!
There are a few firsts for this card - first time I've used Sage Shadow, first time I've used this bird, first time I've used Rustic Rooster (Level 2 Hostess Set - for the background of the base card).
There are also a few olds as well - The pleated ribbon with mini staples, Warm Words , the colour on colour and my total obsession with Kraft!!
Anyway I just love this card - it's so simple but striking. I just want to keep looking at it (am I strange or what?!).
Here are the colours for the challenge.
Yes, simple is wonderful.... and you do it so well. Great card
ReplyDeleteLove how you've done the ribbon - looks fantastic. The birds are so cute in the circles too - great idea.
ReplyDeleteHi Erin, Great to see you playing along. This is a lovely card!! So clean and simple but very effective. I can't make it to the team meeting next week but hope to see you sometime soon.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Lovely work - thank you for your inspiration. Same colour layers (Kraft on Kraft) isn't something I have tried before, but with the rooster words and foam squares it adds depth and looks amazing. I will try it soon!
